Isambard Kingdom Brunel was one of the original subscribers when Bristol Zoo was founded in 1836.  As part of its 175th year celebrations the Zoo has created a 'Walk of Fame' within its wonderful grounds. Both Brunel and the Clifton Suspension Bridge are commemorated with plaques. Mike Rowland, Visitor Services Manager at the Bridge was present at the launch of the 'Walk of Fame' on the evening of 14th April.  Mike is pictured with the Bridge plaque.

There are 49 plaques in total which include Wallace & Gromit, Bill Bailey, John Cleese, John Cabot, Concorde, Cary Grant, the ss Great Britain, Bristol Blue Glass, Gary Mabbutt, W.G. Grace, Banksy, J.K. Rowling .......etc
