Since 1st January 1953 the Clifton Suspension Bridge has been managed and maintained by the Clifton Suspension Bridge Trust (CSBT), a not-for-profit charity. The Trust does not receive any local or national government funding but must raise almost £1,500,000 each year to preserve the bridge in perpetuity to the highest possible standards. An Act of Parliament ensures that toll money collected from bridge crossings is used specifically to achieve this aim.

We're a Co-op Local cause and are raising money to improve access for visitors with visual and hearing impairments.
As a member, every time you shop at Co-op, 1% of what you spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to the Co-op Local Community Fund. This money, supports projects close to where you live. If you’re a member you can choose a local cause you want your 1% to go to.
In 2014 CSBT opened a custom built Visitor Centre for the education and enjoyment of visitors. The project was supported by Heritage Lottery Fund. When the Heritage Lottery Fund project concluded in summer 2016, the Visitor Centre became reliant on shop sales, donations and income from tours to cover its costs.
Visitor donations make a big difference! Not only does your money help us to keep our Visitor Centre free and open for everyone to enjoy - but it can also support our education programme and allow us to develop new exhibitions or preserve objects from our collection. The more you donate, the more we can do!
In 2017 we aim to raise money to build a set of model bridges to help students better understand bridge engineering, create a mini exhibition about the history of tolls and ticketing, begin digitising our collection with an aim to making it publically accessible, provide work experience placements for students interested in museums and heritage, and develop a series of downloadable resources to help school pupils with homework projects.
If you would like to support our work you can choose to donate directly and securely to us through Paypal.
Thank you for your support.
